About this event

Stroll one of Indianapolis’s most intriguing neighborhoods on a 90-minute guided tour of the Old Northside Historic District, where business rivals, publishing magnates, and influential women competed for prestige in the late nineteenth century, forming a fashionable community of impressive homes. Learn about the neighborhood’s architectural styles and hear the stories behind its historic houses, churches, and cultural institutions, including how the preservation movement spurred the community’s post-1960s revitalization, and created a flourishing residential historic district.

This outdoor walking tour departs from Indiana Landmarks Center (1201 Central Ave, Indianapolis). Groups will cover approximately 1.5 miles over the course of 90 minutes.

Refund requests must be received at least seven days in advance of the tour date.
